Can’t really break the daily streak, can I?
Now this chapter was slightly annoying. I blame it on the author’s lack of decent writing skills.
Technically, you don’t need to mention the subject every time in Japanese as you can guess it from the context and verb forms, but the author jumps between the subjects way too often without marking it with an actual word.
I consider myself fluent enough in Japanese to understand it, still, when it comes to translating, I’m not so comfortable with it anymore. I’m no native speaker, but it ticks me off to repeatedly use “he”, escpecially when the subject changes every time.
I did my best to write a clear translation by adding the names in places I felt necessary and ask for your understanding if it sounds too weird.

Story-wise, I still can’t say that I dislike the MC, though he IS treading on a fine line to become an asshole. There also seems to be some new power-up, so I’m looking forward to the next chapter.

On other news, I finished chapter 04 of Shinmai Maou vol 2. Now only the epilogue is left before I drop it with the completion of the 2nd volume. Not sure when I will get to it, but hopefully before the year ends.

tl;dr: NEXT CHAPTER WHEN!?

Enjoy~

  1. Thanks for chapter and thanks for Shinmai, pity you will drop it πŸ™ as it doesn’t seem anyone will pick it up (novel-hunter is working really long with chapter 1 of vol 3). πŸ˜‰
As for MC of this story I can understand him. He wants to be free without any obligations or connections or, as he see it, troubles. Hard to see him acting diffirent as he is from orphanage, without family, shuning friends and concentrating on being bookworm before all this. Still my internal jury is out to decide if I like him or not.
Keep up the good work and troll the leechers as you always do PROzess.

  2. thanks for the chapter!
about the grammar issue maybe you should try to look at the light novel version instead of the web novel version, since a lot of people say that usually the light novel is a better edited version.

  3. It’s really too bad that you’re going to give up on Shinmai, but like you said before you translated as you read novels, and during your down time you read the ongoing Shinmai. So translating them now, at this point, would not be fun for you.

Translating for you is a hobby, not a job. I hope people remember that, even with the disappointment in the project drop.

I’m heading over to BakaTsuki right now to finish up Shinmai vol 2 chap 4. Thanks for that!

  4. I had no trouble understanding the chapter, so thanks for putting in the effort to add the person’s name.

Thanks for the chapter and I’m looking forward to seeing what happens with the power-up.

  5. I am a little sad you will be dropping shinmai but I am kinda happy you will have more time to translate other projects. I am thoroughly enjoying this one so far so please keep up the good work πŸ˜€

  6. Thx for the translation =). Nice to see this being translated. Can’t wait to read just how he develops into the supposed “εΉΌε₯³θ½γ¨γ—η₯ž”
